Freedom and Democracy Group calls for international pressure for attempted fraudulent elections in Venezuela

CARACAS.- The Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD) announced that it has 98% of the electoral witnesses who will monitor all the voting tables during the presidential elections on July 28as announced by the opposition leader Maria Corina Machado.

“We are moving forward, rigorously fulfilling the goals we have established in our 600 K plan, that robust, steel platform to defend your vote, for which we are all necessary. This weekend the first charge was made, nominating principal and alternate witnesses on the platform of the National Electoral Council,” Machado said in a video on the social network X.

He added that “this does not mean that we are ready or satisfied. Platform 600k goes far beyond having conventional witnesses. We continue to train people throughout the country.”

Machado said he was pleased to say that 27 days before the election, “we already have witnesses at more than 98% of the voting tables.”

The opposition leader also referred to the tour she made last week in the Andean region of Venezuela.

“It was also very exciting what we experienced this week, four and a half days traveling through the Andes, that wonderful area of noble, dignified, brave people. That was just one caravan,” he said.

Machado spoke about his travels around Venezuela during the pre-campaign stage in favor of the opposition unitarian candidate Edmundo González Urrutia.

“History is going to turn what we have experienced in Venezuela into a case study. First, without propaganda, word of mouth spreads the word, people gather, people are organized. Second, without money, here no money has been distributed to anyone, everyone volunteers, people put up their own resources. Third, we have done this without transportation, without gasoline, they have even persecuted us truck drivers and motorcyclists, people move by their own means, often on foot. We have done this without printed posters, people made their own posters and it is a spectacular thing because each person puts there what they feel most, the deepest part of their guts and makes it their own,” he said.

This Monday, the PUD announced the start of the election campaign for the presidential elections on the 28th of this month with a “caravan for Venezuela” which will start on Thursday, July 4 from Caracas.

The main opposition coalition made the announcement on its X account, where it noted that it will soon announce “10 dates” on which supporters will be able to accompany the “unitary” candidate Edmundo González Urrutia and the opposition leader María Corina Machado in what they have called the “Great Caravan With Venezuela.”

“This Thursday, July 4, the Great Caravan with Venezuela begins in Caracas. 10 dates to accompany Edmundo González and María Corina Machado on this route for freedom,” wrote the PUD campaign command in X.

In addition to the dates, the PUD said it will also announce the meeting points in each state of Venezuela and urged supporters to be “attentive” to the announcements.
