Four young people began to be tried this Wednesday morning by Criminal Court One of Oberá, for the murder of David Anselmo Ferreyra (20), committed on May 1, 2021 in the town of Campo Viera.

On the bench is Pablo Daniel Espíndola (21), charged as the author of the crime of simple homicide; Darío Alejandro Pio (23), as primary participant, as well as Mario Alexandro Becker (20) and Laura Viviana Batista (24) as secondary participants.

After a fight started at the suspect’s mother’s house, where they were consuming alcoholic beverages, Ferreyra was beaten and stabbed in the abdomen. He died on the way to the hospital.

Neither the victim nor the defendants enjoy good conduct in the town, some 30 kilometers from Oberá, according to the reports attached to the file. According to the investigation, Pio held Ferreyra and Espindola stabbed him to death. Becker and Batista would have hit and thrown stones earlier, when the victim tried to escape.

The court is made up of judges Francisco Aguirre (president), José Pablo Rivero and Horacio Paniagua.
