Traffic accidents with fatal consequences do not give up, and in the last few hours a brutal road incident once again hit an entire family in La Plata.
This is a new accident that continues to swell a sad statistic of fatalities on provincial streets and routes so far this past year, something that clearly marks a harsh reality and causes concern.
In this context -alarming- yesterday at noon, a terrible collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle was reported in the middle of Route 3, at kilometer 269, between the Buenos Aires districts of Azul and Las Flores. Unfortunately, as a result of the violent accident, a motorcyclist from La Plata lost his life.
According to official sources indicated to this newspaper, the fatal victim was identified as a resident of the City and his name was Guillermo Gustavo Peralta, 56 years old.
Peralta was the driver of the minor vehicle and died as a result of the violence of the impact against a Volkswagen Gol model car.
Spokesmen for the case detailed that according to the first investigations, the fatal outcome occurred when both vehicles collided head-on.
They also revealed that the deceased person was traveling aboard a Yamaha MT03 brand motorcycle and, for reasons that they are trying to clarify during these hours, collided with the car that was driven by a 19-year-old from Cardales, who was unharmed.
It is worth mentioning that after the serious accident, the presence of experts was requested and traffic was interrupted since it was necessary to preserve the area of the accident.
The scenario found was the worst: Peralta’s motorcycle was found several meters from the vehicle involved, which suggested that due to the high speed they were traveling, the minor vehicle hit the asphalt brutally and ended with fatal consequences.
Minutes after the tremendous impact, SAME doctors were present at the scene and confirmed the death.
Firefighters and Road Safety police worked in it. The case is being investigated by Prosecutor 6 under the charge of Prosecutor Genusso, from the Azul judicial department, and the title page of the case was classified as “culpable homicide.”
Dry road and daylight
Always according to the information provided by witnesses of the fatal accident, at the time of the collision between the car and the motorcycle, that section of the route was in optimal circumstances, since it was in broad daylight, without fog and with the road dry.
As for where the neighbor from La Plata was going, in principle everything indicates that the motorcyclist was heading towards Azul, while the motorist was driving in the direction of Las Flores.

Moments after the fatal outcome, those close to Peralta expressed themselves on social networks and in the midst of pain, they were also outraged.
“What sad news, fly high Gustavo,” said a woman, who also added: “The route is in terrible condition, full of potholes. We must do something,” she wrote on Facebook.
It should be remembered that in the Region the number of fatalities due to traffic accidents amounts to 15 so far in 2023, that is, a tragic succession that causes distress and keeps the authorities on alert.
