According to Deadline, Jenna Ortega will not actually be in Scream 7.
The site notes, however, that this is unrelated to the recent dismissal of Melissa Barrerabut with a scheduling conflict with the second season of He beat mesuccessful series from Netflix.
They add that Ortega’s departure had been discussed since before the Hollywood actors’ strike began.
However, obviously, the “timing” of this news makes it difficult not to relate one thing to another.
