Leart Paqarada spoke about his upcoming move to 1. FC Köln, who are under a bad star because of the transfer ban imposed by FIFA. “Basically I’m positive, I’m in good spirits”, the left-back of FC St. Pauli told ‘Sport1’ yesterday evening. He was with the people of Cologne “in constant exchange. I had a little nibble with it last week when it was a bit fresher to be honest. It’s okay now too.”

The 28-year-old believes that “everything will end well” takes. Cologne can still hope that the objection that has been filed will result in the Bundesliga club being exempted from the penalty or at least being granted a postponement. Otherwise Paqarada could not be registered. St. Pauli’s sports director Andreas Bornemann, on the other hand, is less optimistic that it is one “tricky situation. (…) There is nothing else we can influence, apart from waiting to see what happens and keeping our fingers crossed that it develops the way he wants it to.”
