The Argentine Federation of Commerce and Services Employees (FAECYS), the Argentine Chamber of Commerce (CAC), the Confederation of Medium Enterprises (CAME) and the Union of Commercial Entities (Udeca) signed this afternoon at the Ministry of Labor the agreement which will be charged in three non-cumulative tranches: 6.5% in April, 6.5% in May and 6.5% in June. So, the basic salary will reach the floor of $220,000.

Commerce had closed the 2022-2023 parity in January, with an annual increase of 101% from an increase in the basic agreement, which raised the salary floor from $139,000 to $182,700 and allowed it to overcome last year’s inflation, which reached 94.8%.

Armando Cavalieri, general secretary of FAECYS, highlighted that “unlike other opportunities, an agreement was reached for a shorter tranche, in order to closely follow the evolution of prices, and make a review at the end of the quarter, so that workers and workers do not lose purchasing power”.

“We value the work and participation of all parties, the business sector, the Government and the workers, in a context of great difficulty, and we hope to continue with this permanent dialogue, depending on the dynamics of economic variables and the evolution of prices”, added the historic leader after the meeting that was attended by the Minister of Labor, Kelly Olmos.
