That sweet and magical moment that superstar Salma Hayek went viral last Wednesday when she stopped her step on the Red Carpet of the Golden Globe to take a Pulparindo and two marzipans in her hands, was the idea of borderline actor and producer Chriz Ortiz.
El Paso, based in Los Angeles, is the mastermind behind that box full of sweets that was not only tempting for the actress from Veracruz.
The Mexican actor Diego Calva, who was nominated for his work in ‘Babylone’, also took two marzipans and thanked them with a “great” and a message of joy for the triumph that having been nominated represents.
Likewise, Jalisco director Guillermo del Toro was also tempting with the sweets that the members of ‘Pero like’ offered to Latino celebrities.
However, the filmmaker declined the offer with a “no, thanks, I’m too fat.”
Another Mexican who was offered sweets was the famous ‘Merlina’, Jenna Ortega, as well as the Cuban Ana de Armas. Both passed by and in a hurry, but with a smile and words of thanks for the tempting invitation.
“I’ll eat it right now,” Salma said after approaching the place where El Paso and his production partners were, and she couldn’t even resist the idea of being the only one to sin a little with that “guilty taste” that usually generates the variety of Mexican sweets, inviting her companion to also come over to choose a couple of sweets.
Chriz Ortiz, presenter and producer of the program ‘Pero Like’ on Buzzfeed, published on TikTok the video in which El Paso and his companions, Carolina Reynoso and Camila Rosero, filled the Golden Globes carpet with joy and tricolor tones by wearing the “candy box magic” (magic candy box).
