Paulina Rubio announces greatest hits tour of the US

MIAMI – The Mexican singer Paulina Rubio announced this Wednesday through her social networks that she will tour several cities in the United States with a brief concert tour in which she will review the successes of her four decades of career.

“La Chica Dorada”, as she is known in the art world, will begin the tour, titled “Golden Hits”, on September 13, in Sugar Land, Texas.

The tour will continue on the 15th, 16th and 17th of the same month in San Antonio, Corpus Christi and Grand Prairie, also in Texas.

On September 22 and 23, the 52-year-old artist will perform in Las Vegas, Nevada, to conclude on the 24th in Coachella, California.

Paulina Rubio, nominated for two Grammy Awards, began her musical career as a child in the early 1980s, as an original member of the iconic youth group Timbiriche.

The daughter of the late actress Susana Dosamantes launched her solo career in 1992 with the album “La Chica Dorada”, a title that became her artistic nickname to this day.

She managed to position herself as one of the main female figures of Latin pop in the 1990s, with hits like “Mío”, “Amor de mujer”, “Sabor a miel”, “Nieva, nieva”, “Te would give my life” or “In love”.

However, her definitive internationalization occurred in the year 2000 with her album “Paulina”, which includes the classics “I will do it for you”, “The last goodbye”, “And I am still here” and “I am not that woman”.

In 2002, he entered the Anglo-Saxon market with the production “Border Girl”, which was followed by “Pau-Latina”, “Ananda”, “Gran City Pop”, “Brava!” and desire”.

With those albums, he accumulated more successful singles, such as “Don’t Say Goodbye”, “I loved you so much”, “You have something”, “Give me another tequila”, “Not a single word” or “Cause and effect”.

In 2022, Paulina embarked on a tour of the United States together with her colleague and compatriot, Alejandra Guzmán, titled “Perrísimas.”
