The releases in 2023 are slowly starting. One of the biggest hopes for all shooter fans is Atomic Heart – although there has been little tangible evidence of the game so far. But that changed in January, because now we were allowed to shoot ourselves extensively through the bizarre alternative time scenario. You can read in our title story why we often felt reminded of Bioshock and where it is currently still stuck.

Second really big topic this month: Hogwarts Legacy. On the one hand because of the justified controversy surrounding the inventor of the franchise JK Rowling, on the other hand because a huge number of people who grew up with the books are still looking forward to the game. For those who would like to find out more about Rowling’s statements, we have a detailed article here on our website, in the issue we mainly deal with the gameplay – because the version unfortunately came too late for a test. Nevertheless, we will tell you everything you need to know for your start in the magician’s career. Apart from that, you can expect a big preview of the long-awaited survival sequel Sons of the Forest, our review of the horror remake Dead Space and the first part of our XXXL history of the Command&Conquer inventors Westwood in this issue.
