BOGOTA.- The former presidential candidate Colombia, Rodolfo Hernandezassured that his country remains under a “corrupt system” that governs and keeps the nation hostage.
In an interview offered to the Semana Magazine, Hernández referred to Gustavo’s managementPetrocurrent head of state, with whom he was measured in the second presidential round, and assured that “he dedicated himself only to talking.”
“He dedicated himself only to talking, he was no longer able to do anything, he allied himself with the system to win the elections and today he is suffering the consequences of that toxic marriage. When I retired from Congress, I said that Gustavo Petro did not need me to oppose him. See, time is showing everything they did to win the elections and from within everything has been bursting,” said the politician.
When asked about his government plan if he had won the electoral victory, Hernández stated that “he would have collected the checkbooks, strict control of all expenses, collected the trucks and luxuries, at least a 30 percent cut would have to be made.” public officials at the national level. It would be focused on the structural tasks of the country, reviewing the health system, analyzing bills and strongly attacking waste.”
In this sense, he regretted the current reality of the South American country. “I hope Colombia one day focuses on taking care of money, stopping waste, kicking out thieves and producing, producing with the countryside and the people,” he said.
Corruption cases against Petro
