The 54-year-old comedian was in serious condition after a road accident on Friday on a departmental road in Seine-et-Marne. Three other people are also seriously injured.

A violent accident. Comedian Pierre Palmade, 54, was seriously injured in a road accident on Friday evening in Seine-et-Marne. His vital prognosis is no longer engaged this Saturday morning, according to his family. The actor is also conscious, according to information from BFMTV.

• The impact was almost frontal

The accident occurred early Friday evening, around 6:45 p.m. on the D372 departmental road, between Villiers-en-Bière and Perthes, in Seine-et-Marne, near the actor’s home.

Pierre Palmade is driving his Peugeot 3008 vehicle when his car deviates significantly from its trajectory for reasons that have yet to be determined, said a police source. The vehicle violently collided with another light vehicle in an almost frontal impact. A third car appears and in turn hits the other two vehicles.

“We have a main accident with the vehicle driven by Pierre Palmade and the vehicle arriving in front”, with a family on board, summarized the Melun prosecutor’s office with AFP on Friday evening.

• The accident caused 4 serious injuries

The comedian was transported Friday evening by helicopter to the Kremlin-Bicêtre hospital, in Val-de-Marne. He is then in a very serious condition, his vital prognosis being at this time engaged. According to our information, he is now conscious this Saturday morning. “His life is no longer in danger this (Saturday) morning,” his family said.

In addition to Pierre Palmade, the accident left three other seriously injured members of the same family: a man, a 26-year-old pregnant woman and a 6-year-old boy. All were in the vehicle hit by the Peugeot 3008.

The two adults were evacuated by helicopter, the child transported by road. The vital prognosis of these three people is engaged. The occupant of the third vehicle, an 80-year-old man, was slightly injured.

• Witnesses mention the presence of two men

Witnesses say that two men in their twenties were in the vehicle driven by Pierre Palmade at the time of the accident and fled, BFMTV learned from a police source.

Their presence in the vehicle has not yet been confirmed and the two men have not been identified or located. No thesis is favored as to their possible role in the accident.

An investigation was opened for “involuntary injuries by driver resulting in incapacity for work for more than three months”, entrusted to the Melun Val-de-Seine police station, the prosecution told AFP.
