POCO, one of the fastest growing smartphone brands in the market, announced the launch of its new device, the POCO F5, on May 9th. The device has attracted public attention due to its specifications and its Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 processor. Check below what you can expect from this new smartphone.
The POCO F5 is expected to feature a 6.67-inch screen with FullHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, in addition to having a fingerprint reader on the side. According to Himanshu Tandon, head of LITTLE INDIAthis model will be released in two versions: the “simple” one, with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storageand the most powerful, with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
The handset’s rear camera will likely come in a triple-lens setup, with a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera will have 16 MP for selfies and video calls.
The device will be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and support 67W fast charging. In addition, the POCO F5 will have a USB-C port.

One of the main features of POCO F5 is its Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 processor, which after rumors, should be confirmed with the Qualcomm leak. This chipset is an improved version of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, designed to offer even better performance to mid-range smartphones. According to Qualcomm, the manufacturer of the processor, the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 promises a 20% increase in CPU performance over the previous generation.
