Even having lost some of its launch euphoria, Pokémon GO remains one of the most popular mobile games, registering astronomical profits.

Currently, Pokémon games already have more than 1000 different species of monsters, but not all of them can be caught in Pokémon GO. This week, the game marked an important milestone by making all species from the third generation of the franchise available.

Although the most nostalgic say that the first generation of Pokémon will always have the best little monsters, many fans disagree, as there are many species that become iconic throughout each new generation.

In the third generation we were introduced to the Hoenn Region, known for Ruby and Sapphire games. In this region, we were able to capture iconic species such as Blaziken, Gardevoir, Torkoal, Salamence and the legendary Kyogre, Groundon and Rayquaza.

Until then, it was impossible to complete the third generation Dex in Pokémon GO, although monsters from later generations are already present in the game, but this week, Niantic finally released the Kekleon chameleon, allowing players to complete this Dex.

Kecleon is a chameleon Pokémon that can camouflage itself and become almost invisible. His absence from the game has been the subject of many memes over the years, with many players claiming that he was always there, but invisible.

Rather than simply releasing Kecleon as a wild little monster, the chameleon brings a new mechanic to the game.

Kecleon will appear (rarely) hanging from a PokéStop’s Photo Disc. A message will appear on the screen saying that something is preventing you from spinning the PokéStop, and you will need to tap the Kecleon several times to get it out. After that, the Kecleon will appear on the map so you can capture it.

Kecleon arrives in conjunction with the game’s new event, which brings more shiny species and mega evolutions.

So, have you completed your third generation Dex in Pokémon GO?
