NEW YORK — A woman died after she was found early Tuesday morning with multiple stab wounds to the neck and torso inside a Brooklyn residence, New York City Police said.
The event occurred at around 1:26 am when the authorities responded to an emergency call about a woman who had been stabbed inside the house located in the 2877 West 20th Street. Upon arrival, the uniformed officers found the 44-year-old woman in the first-floor hallway with stab wounds, the report says.
Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital. NYU Langone where she was pronounced dead.
A 50-year-old man was arrested at the scene and a knife was recovered, authorities said. Apparently the fact could be a case of domestic violence.
Authorities are still investigating what happened.
