During the day this Saturday, troops from the Naval Prefecture stationed in Puerto Maní (Corpus) seized around 715 kilos of marijuana in two procedures.
The first of these was in the El Tercero creek located between Corpus and San Ignacio. The feds heard the sound of a boat engine, went to the site and found 29 packages containing 537 bricks of pressed marijuana and 215 kilos of buds in heat-sealed bags. The total weight exceeded 650 kilograms.
The second procedure was in Colonia Oasis, just after eight bags of buds were unloaded from a Paraguayan vessel, weighing almost 66 kilograms. The substance was seized but there were no detainees. In both proceedings, the Court and Federal Prosecutor of Oberá endorsed the rigorous actions.
