MIAMI.- At the beginning of June, Colombia crowned the candidate from the Cauda Valley, Daniela Toloza Rocha, to represent the country in the next edition of Miss Universe. But the crowning of the new Miss Colombia has generated controversy due to the methods to which the young woman resorted to achieve the so-called perfect measurements: 90-60-90.
The presenter Kerly Ruz questioned in the program Sit down who can! to the new Colombian queen and to the beauty pageants due to the dilemmas regarding the physical appearance of the participants.
“It seems hypocritical to me that a woman has to have surgery and win the contest because in the end the stereotype of those measurements, which many see as perfect, is what leads them to win, why? Because as they say: ‘brands want women with these types of bodies, with these types of stereotypes and in the end they operate,'” questioned the Venezuelan entertainer.
After that, Ruz brought up the operation that Daniela Toloza Rocha had to lose weight and – even – compared the miss with another participant in another contest.
“She had baritric surgery because, well, at the age of 10 she had an important loss in her life, such as the loss of her parents, and she started eating and went through different processes, but in the end she did not reach the size she expected. “She did Miss Nepal in the previous contest, which in the end also ended up injecting herself with the famous doses to be able to lose weight; in the end they are looking for: the same stereotype of the woman as Hypocritical became the beauty contest,” stated Kerly Ruz.

According to some media, the new Miss Universe Colombia weighed 106 kilos as a result of the death of her parents when she was 10 years old.

I gained weight impressively,” the miss added, emphasizing that she weighed 106 kilos in 2019.
