Penhic, a small island off the coast of Brittany. Twenty activists armed to the teeth and led by Alpha (Lannick Gautry) disembark and confine all the inhabitants to the school of this isolated village. At the same time, five passengers escape from the shuttle that connects the mainland to the island and manage to hide. This is how it starts Prisoner Island, the new series broadcast by France 2 from this Monday, February 13.

Many questions arise from the first minutes. This surprising idea, to say the least, we owe to the writer Michel Bussi. After the adaptations of three of his novels, mom is wrong on France 2, A plane without it on M6 and time is killer on TF1, the Norman author with 721,000 novels sold in 2021 alone (according to the annual Le Figaro-GfK ranking), signs the screenplay and dialogues for this fiction with Christian Clères, screenwriter for television and cinema.

Prisoner Island : who are the performers of this new series?
This captivating and intense thriller is served by a very convincing cast. On the casting side, lovers of French fiction will be delighted to find Antoine Duléry in the role of the mayor of this village taken hostage. The actresses Deborah François and Marie Denarnaud also form a lovely couple, mothers of a mute little boy. They express themselves with him in sign language, still too little represented on television.
