MEXICO CITY.- Featherweight, Becky G, Carn León, Dalex, Danny Ocean, Feid, Marc Anthony and Sech are about to appear at the Latin American Music Awards (Latin AMAs) in Las Vegaswhich this year has as its motto We Speak Music (We talk music).

“We are going to make the most bilingual program we have ever made,” said executive producer Ulises Chang in a video interview regarding Thursday night’s ceremony.

The undeniable impact of Latin music on a global level in recent years led the producers of the Latin AMAs to change their focus so that the ceremony reflected this reach and at the same time incorporated Anglo and general market music.

“Music is something that you feel, that you dance, that you enjoy, but in reality music is a universal language. For this reason, this year the theme of the show is We Speak Music. It doesn’t matter what language the music is in, “Everyone speaks music and is guided by music,” said executive producer Maria Uji Fulgueira.

Red carpet

Another of the big changes for the ninth edition of the awards, which will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, is that it will move away from the traditional carpet to make a new unfiltered pre-show concept titled Celebrity Night.

“We have seven cameras for the first time that are capturing the artists throughout the venue (forum) since its arrival,” he added. “But in a more relaxed way, not so formal, and we want to do a fun and completely different format than what we have done in the past.”

The Latin AMAs will be broadcast simultaneously on Univision, UNIMS, Galavisión and ViX, including Noche de Famosos.

“It’s a strategy that we implemented this year to be able to attract those viewers who normally don’t watch Univision, but in some way we would like to be able to acquire that younger audience that listens so much to the type of music that you are going to listen to at night,” Chang said. .
