The cast of utilities It is a benefit for the workers, that is, it is a proportional part of the profits that a company or an employer obtains, due to the productive activity or services that it offers in the market.
The resources must be delivered between April and June. According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS), from April 1 to May 30 corresponds to the dispersal of workers who work for a company. While, those who provide their services for a person (employer), then they will be able to charge from May 1 to June 29.
It will be necessary to remember that the dispersion of profits must be divided into two equal parts. That is, first it will be distributed equally among all workers, considering the number of days worked by each one in the year and in proportion to the amount of wages earned for the work provided during the year.
First, companies will have to spread the 10% of profits among their workers. Assuming that a company declared profits for an amount of up to 500,000 pesos, then it must take into account the amount of 50,000 pesos.
Then this amount must be divided in half (25 thousand pesos), since the other half will have to be obtained from the salary of each worker.
Then, the 25 thousand pesos will have to be divided between the total number of days worked by all the workers. For example, 25 thousand pesos/455 = 54.94, then this amount should be multiplied by the number of days worked in the year in order to know the final profit that each one should receive.
Example
Assuming that a worker had a value per day of (54.94 pesos) and worked 250 days, the profit to be distributed would be 13,735.
However, the other half still needs to be calculated, which corresponds to the division of the workers’ annual salaries. That is, 25 thousand / 348 thousand = 0.07183. This last result will have to be multiplied by the annual salary of each worker to obtain the utility. In this case the value per day would be 0.07183, the days worked 138 thousand to give a total of 9 thousand 912.54.
What is the end result? Thus, the worker would be entitled to receive approximately 23 thousand 647.54 pesossince the two ways of distributing the profits were added, that is, days worked and salary obtained.
It must be remembered that the payment of utilities is made between the months of April and June. According to the Federal Labor Attorney’s Office (Profedet) if it is not paid in a timely manner, you can go to its facilities to receive legal advice.
The resources will be applied to people who have worked for at least 60 days and as long as their employer has declared an annual income declared to income tax greater than 300,000 pesos, as announced by the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare. (STPS).
Although there are some workers who will not be able to receive the payment of the resources, as well as companies that are exempt to participate in this dispersion.
