Federal Finance Minister Christian Lindner has been criticized. His apparently close ties to the Karlsruher BBBank are now a case for the Berlin Public Prosecutor’s Office. In a video celebrating the bank’s 100th anniversary, Lindner said he liked the bank “from the ground up.” The same bank granted him according to “Spiegel” information later a loan of millions for a two-family house in the south of Berlin. The public prosecutor is now investigating whether there is an initial suspicion of corruption. Lindner is threatened with the lifting of his immunity.

It’s about well-paid lectures and appearances at events, but also about videos. One of these commercials can still be seen on the website of the production company “Prestigefilm”. The company produced the article entitled “Christian Lindner: ‘I love my freedom'” at the end of August 2018 for a new BBBank customer magazine. At that time, Lindner was the federal chairman of the FDP and member of the German Bundestag.
