Voted game of the year in 2018, The Witcher 3 is definitely one of the best RPGs of recent years. Featuring a fantastic and incredibly well-written narrative, the game offers an extremely dense adventure where every choice will have an impact on the story. In addition, the game has recently been updated on PS5, and benefits from improvements at all levels. It’s beautiful, engaging and timeless. Note, however, that the game is primarily intended for an adult audience.
Released in 2021, Tales of Arise can be easily found at low cost. A 100% Japanese role-playing game, it takes you on a journey halfway between fantasy and science fiction capable of keeping you spellbound for nearly a hundred hours. Explosive, dynamic and hyper colorful, the game is not very difficult and will be perfect for those who want to try their hand at the genre.
For adventurers
Aloy returns in an incredible adventure hailed by critics and gamers alike. Direct continuation of Horizon Zero Dawn, Forbidden West takes us to a whole new region to save the world. Beautiful and absorbing, count at least thirty hours to see the end of it and much more if you seek to discover all its secrets.
Like Aloy, Kratos returns to service in this already legendary game on PS5 and PS4. Ragnarok takes us on the final battle of the god of war and his son against the Norse gods of Midgard. Beautiful, epic and incredibly well staged, God of War Ragnarok is undeniably a safe bet for this end of the year.
Cute indie game that’s great for younger players, stray puts us in the shoes of a cat who finds himself forced to cross a post-apocalyptic world populated by robots to find his friends. A journey that is both singular and poetic, which will take us around the country. Who would have thought that seeing the world through the eyes of a cat would be so intoxicating.
For horror fans on PS5 and PS4
Straight out of daddy’s imagination dead space, The Callisto Protocol offers a claustrophobic and excessively gory trip to Jupiter’s moon. Locked up by force in a high security prison, our hero will try by all means to escape while a strange disease transforms all living beings into bloodthirsty creatures. Needless to say that the game is reserved for an informed adult audience.
After Until Dawn, Supermassive Games returns with an all-new story-driven horror game. In the form of a kind of multiple-choice interactive film, we follow a group of teenagers stuck all night in a summer camp. Lack of luck, creatures roam the corner and begin to decimate them one by one. Finally, everything depends on your choices, since it is your actions that will decide their fate. Rather well written and well directed, The Quarry offers a very solid experience for horror film lovers and can count on the talent of many renowned actors such as Brenda Song, Ariel Winter and Ted Raimi.
For lovers of multiplayer games
Impossible to miss call of duty when talking about multiplayer games. The smash hit FPS got a new installment a few months ago and makes the perfect gift for those who love well-done frags. By the way, note that online progress on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is the same as on Warzone 2.0the free-to-play spin-off of the series.
THE auto simulation par excellence on PS5 and PS4, Gran Turismo 7 is the ultimate game for all lovers of big cars. With hundreds of cars and dozens of circuits spread over a very large number of events, GT7 is a must have game as a fan of the genre. Regularly updated, it often receives new circuits and/or free vehicles. A must have and an ideal gift.
