Two months after the accidental death of rapper Takeoff, his nephew Quavo, this Wednesday dedicated a song to him entitled “Sans toi”.

The American rapper Quavo published this Wednesday a new title dedicated to his former partner of the American hip-hop group Migos, Takeoff, killed by a stray bullet on November 1 in Houston.

In this song, called Without YouQuavo evokes with emotion the best moments spent with the one who was also his nephew, and confides in his difficult daily life since the death of the artist at the age of 28.

“Tears are streaming down my eyes. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve cried. Days aren’t the same without you. I don’t know if I’m the same without you,” he raps in this title.

“I wish I had a time machine. Just so you can take a ride with me. I miss the way you smile at me. Unc & Phew to infinity,” he also sings.

Suspect arrested and charged

Takeoff – real name Kirsnik Khari Ball – was shot and killed on November 1 at the age of 28 outside 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston, Texas where he was with his uncle Quavo

According to the Houston police chief, the shooting took place around 2:30 a.m. local time on a balcony outside the bowling alley after an argument at a private party that the two rappers were not attending. Since then, an investigation has been opened and a suspect, Patrick Xavier Clark, has been arrested and charged in the case of the murder of the musician.

On November 11, Takeoff’s funeral was celebrated in a stadium in Atlanta, in the presence of thousands of fans and music personalities such as Drake and Justin Bieber who came to pay their last respects to the rapper.
