Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart for PC is Sony's third worst release on Steam

With the arrival of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart on Steam, Sony’s catalog of games for that platform continues to expand. However, it hasn’t garnered as much attention as the early PlayStation releases on PC.

In the first 24 hours of launch, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart reached a peak of 8,757 players, surpassing Returnal and Sackboy: A Big Adventure. However, it is still the third weakest release among PlayStation titles for PC.

Some titles reached their player peak after a few dayssuch as Days Gone (5 days), God of War (2 days), Sackboy (3 days), Returnal (3 days), Uncharted (4 days) and Spider-Man Remastered (2 days), but most had a good I start the first day.

  • god of war – 65,403 players
  • Spider-Man Remastered – 64,893 players
  • Horizon Zero Dawn – 49,710 players
  • The Last of Us Part II – 24,521 players
  • days gone – 21,423 players
  • Spider-Man: Miles Morales – 13,539 players
  • Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection – 9,460 players
  • Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – 7,284 players
  • returnable – 5,669 players
  • Sackboy: A Big Adventure – 541 players

As we said, some of these games had their peak number of players on the first day of release, like The Last of Us Part I, but this decreased in the days after due to its problematic launch, considered one of the worst ports on PC. Ratchet & Clank follows a similar trend, with fewer players compared to its debut.

Reception of the Insomniac Games title is positive, with an 83% approval rating based on over 1,000 player reviews. It is unclear if the low demand for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart it is due to the mistrust of PC gamers due to The Last of Us Part I or simply because the game did not attract attention.
