He May 11 opens in the Cine Gaumont “El Despenador”, seventh film and first fiction directed by Miguel Kohan. The film can be seen from Thursday 11 to Wednesday 17 May in daily performances.

The film received the Andes Award – Special Jury Mention at the 7th edition of the Las Alturas International Film Festival, and was screened at the 22nd BAFICI, in the American Competition section.

Raymundo is an anthropologist who investigates El Despenador, an Andean character whose job it is to end the lives of sick people who do not die using the technique of an accurate hug, thus avoiding spreading death through their breath, a belief rooted in a La Puna area in Jujuy.

During the trip, he is involved in celebrations, religious rituals, interviews, and observations related to the character, raising questions about a recent unresolved duel. While wondering about the reasons that lead him to carry out this research in a desert area, arid and 4000 meters above sea level, he discovers that the destination when traveling is not just a place but a new way of seeing things.
