Colombia.- The Colombian Police have confirmed that the dismembered body found in a garbage container in Bogotá last Sunday belongs to Valentina Trespalacios, a renowned 23-year-old DJ and ‘influencer’.
According to the first reports, a garbage recycler would have found the remains of the woman inside a suitcase in the Los Cámbulos neighborhood, in Fontibón, west of the capital, before notifying the authorities.
“The judicial authorities will take care of the details and establish motives. Work is being carried out with security cameras in the area to identify the alleged perpetrators,” said Lieutenant Colonel Camilo Torres, citizen security operation commander.
According to the victim’s relatives, the main suspect would be her fiancé, a US citizen, with whom she had been in a relationship for nearly a year. The couple would have gone out partying last weekend, however, after the death of the artist, it has not been possible to find the location of the individual.
“The girl went out on Friday with her fiancé, a party day. She was sharing in her WhatsApp states that she was with him and that was all we know,” Carlos Trespalacios, the young woman’s uncle, told Noticias Caracol.
