Thiago Silva will apparently wear the Chelsea FC shirt again next season. As the ‘Daily Mirror’ reports, the Brazilian centre-back is about to have his contract extended. The current working paper would expire at the end of the season.
The 38-year-old is the oldest player in the Chelsea squad but remains the number one defender. In the current season, Silva has appeared in 23 competitive games so far. He has been active for the Blues since 2020.
Chelsea are one of the most active clubs in the transfer market this season. Since the summer, the club has spent more than 450 million euros on newcomers – three central defenders alone found their way to Stamford Bridge. Nevertheless, there is apparently no way around Silva in the future either.
