The Municipality of La Plata drafted an act of contravention against the residents of a private neighborhood accused of discharging their waste in Parque Pereyra. This was confirmed to 0221.com.arCommune sources, after the public complaint made by park rangers of that green space came to light.

As this portal already reported, the reserve workers had accused the inhabitants of a closed neighborhood a few meters from the place as guilty. Although they do not mention it, they refer to the Villalba neighborhood. “As it is not cool to have baskets in front of the country, they throw away all the garbage in the neighborhood so that we can take care of it in the Park, when they are supposed to pay municipal taxes and that the Villa Elisa delegation must remove their waste”they maintained in a post on social networks.

Beyond the contravention, from the Commune they indicated that the residents of the neighborhood in question allege that they are not the ones who throw away the garbage, which they must endorse in their defense before the Misdemeanor Court.

According to that same information, the event was recorded last week, when the record was drawn up. While this Tuesday, the neighbors met with those responsible for the Undersecretary of Environmental Management to coordinate how to work on waste management and find out the days and times of collection.

“The park, country dump”began the text that the Pereyra Park ranger community posted on its Facebook page to denounce that someone “who is not Park staff” had placed a basket on the corner of 403 and Centenario and “every once in a while it appears overflowing with garbage, with dogs destroying bags and (generating) a great spread”.

According to what they were able to find out, the reserve workers pointed out the residents of a closed neighborhood that is located a few meters from the place.

“We do not have to do it from the provincial level nor (should) throw the garbage to the municipality of Berazategui, since on the side where they placed it, the municipality of La Plata does not pick it up,” said the park rangers. The neighborhood they mention, although they do not detail it directly, is called villalba. “We request that the person who placed the basket put it where it should be, because if it doesn’t happen we will remove it”warned and raised that “later it is easy to blame the abandonment of the Park, but some residents who are totally in love with this common good don’t mind living in front of a garbage dump that they help to grow every day with their dirt”.

In the post they attached images and videos of the situation, also assuring that there are cartoneros and collectors who “raise everything that can leave them money and leave the filth of an entire neighborhood to their fate.”
