After the elimination in the Argentine Cup against Almagro, at least three leaders of the Union of Santa Fe received threats through graffiti near their homes with the message “resign or shoot.”

The club is going through a lousy streak of bad results and the elimination against a promotion team generated much more discomfort among the genuine fans and the bravas, who are allowed to threaten anyone without inconvenience.

Faced with this scandal, the Police reported that there were no shots fired or acts of vandalism, but the discontent of the fans is clear: for several weeks they have been demonstrating against the leadership.

The team led by Sebastián Méndez is last in the standings in the Professional Football League (LPF). In the suspended match against Lanús, due to the strong winds caused the detachment of a gutter in the 15 de Abril stadium, a group of supporters dedicated shouts and aggressive chants against the leaders.

In addition, the leadership headed by Luis Spahn had denounced before the courts that unknown individuals disseminated the telephone numbers of leaders and their families in WhatsApp groups, in order to make intimidating calls and threats.

Within this framework, the Professional League decided to advance the match to be played on Monday against Sarmiento de Junín to 3:30 p.m., at the request of the Ministry of Security of the province and the club, in order to have sunlight to complete the security operation of day.
