Lars Stindl returns to his homeland. Karlsruher SC announces the commitment of the experienced offensive player. The 34-year-old has signed a one-year contract for the 2023/24 season. A fee will not be due as Stindl’s contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach expires.
“I’m really looking forward to coming back home with my family and to playing again for KSC after my time at Borussia Mönchengladbach, the club where everything started.”, said Stindl about his move. Between 2003 and 2010 he was active in Karlsruhe.
From there, the eleven-time German national player went to Hannover 96, followed by a move to Mönchengladbach in 2015. The 34-year-old is currently wearing the captain’s armband there and has six goals and nine assists in 26 games. So far he has appeared 266 times for the foals.
