Borussia Dortmund have reportedly expressed an interest in goalkeeper Charlie Setford from Ajax Amsterdam. According to the ‘Daily Mail’, alongside Tottenham Hotspur, Dortmund have the best chance of winning the contract with the 18-year-old, whose contract expires next summer.
Setford could therefore sign a contract with the Black and Yellows that will be valid from July as early as January and would not even need the approval of his current employer.
decisions are pending
Setford has not yet had any professional experience, but he is a regular in various national youth teams. The youngster, who was born in Haarlem near Amsterdam, can appear for both the Netherlands and England. Most recently Setford slipped on the gloves for the Three Lions, but a final decision has not yet been made.
Just as little as those about his future. Dortmund don’t have bad chances, but they should show the talent a real perspective in the Bundesliga team.
