After another hectic and emotional week at the Farmen celebrity farm, the participants had to say goodbye to yet another tenant, namely actor Aslak Maurstad (30).

When this week’s big farmer, Ingrid Vik Lysne (31), chose Ørnulf Høyer (66) as the first champion, she quickly felt guilty. Her choice also resulted in Maurstad ending up as runner-up, which he also expected himself.

Maurstad’s choice of branch fell on ax throwing, a branch he had practiced a lot before entering the farm. However, this was not enough to secure a victory.

When TV 2 talks to Maurstad after the loss, he believes a third participant had a hand in the game during this week’s great election. Namely, influencer Sofie Karlstad (25).

– The fact that I am standing here now probably also has something to do with Sofie’s influence, says the actor.

Considered another branch

Despite the fact that Maurstad had practiced ax throwing for several weeks, he had to see himself beaten by Høyer. When TV 2 asks if he regrets his choice of branch, he still answers no.

– I do not regret my choice of branch. Ax throwing was clearly the branch in which I had the greatest chance of winning. I myself think that I was very close.

The actor nevertheless says that he considered both milk pails and barrel chess.

– Ørnulf’s milk pail record is only ten seconds away from mine, so I think it would have been a very exciting and even match. We are also very, very even in barrel chess. We have played three times, where I have won two, while one was a draw.

For the 31-year-old, the plan was not to quit already in week three, and he had a desire to go back to the farm. At the same time, the thought of potentially being a step closer to 2023 is quite tempting.

– No one dares to talk about it, but everyone has a bit of a desire to go home all the time. But if you admit it, you will be chosen as the first champion. But I do miss my boyfriend, family and friends. Then I miss being warm and using a toilet that works. I miss a lot of things from real life.

Unexpected bromance

And there is no doubt who he will miss the most from the farm – namely fellow participant Aleksander Sæterstøl (27).

– I had not imagined that I would have such a close friendship in here, so I was a little surprised by that. We had an unexpected bromance, which I really appreciate.

Sæterstøl became very emotional at the hearing when he talked about his best friend’s possible exit from the farm. There were also tears when the two participants said goodbye to each other after the duel.

– Aleksander has become my closest friend here. We have slept together almost every night. I would have appreciated staying on the farm longer, to be able to hang out with him, among other things, says Maurstad, before adding that he believes the friendship will also last in 2023.

Maurstad, who has been very involved in the social life at Farmen Kjendis, has not contributed as much to the tactical game. Now, however, he admits that there has been a kind of secret power struggle between him and one of the other participants – namely the influencer Karlstad.

– Sofie has been my arch-rival throughout my stay.

Secret archrivals

During the weeks on the farm, alliances have formed, which the participants have called the “young” and the “old”. According to Maurstad, the “young people” consisted of himself, Sæterstøl, Karlstad, Ingrid Vik Lysne, Christopher Mørch Husby (33) and Malin Nesvoll (33). The “old” are then the remaining participants.

– We have always tried to look after each other, and ensure that as many of us “young people” as possible make it to finals week. I have also thought about that when I have chosen a new large farmer. My loyalty lies primarily with Aleksander and Christopher, but I also like Ingrid and Malin very much. And Sofie then, he says before adding:

– But Sofie has, in a way, been my arch-rival all along.

According to Marustad, both he and Karlstad have tried to influence the game in different directions each week.

– Sofie has tried to arrange a boys’ match, and I have tried to arrange a girls’ match. So my loyalty does not lie with her.

The 31-year-old says that it is technically Ingrid who is responsible for him smoking today. Maurstad predicted that if she chose Høyer as first champion, he himself would most likely be chosen as second champion. He was right about this.

– I don’t blame Ingrid for this, but I wish she had listened to me when I spoke up. And it probably also has something to do with Sofie’s influence. Sofie and I have apparently been very close, but I think both she and I know that we have actually been “nemeses” in here. We always worked to achieve the exact opposite – she a boy’s match, and I a girl’s match.

Despite this, the 31-year-old clarifies that he likes Karlstad very much as a person, and appreciated the friendship they had on the farm.

– I think Sofie is completely raw. She is really nice, and always spreads a lot of good vibes. But from a game technical point of view, she is the one who has made it most difficult for me to succeed with my strategy in there, notes Maurstad.
