Indie SNES game Reverie has been announced for new platforms. It was first released for PS4 and PS Vita in 2018 and got an enhanced edition on Nintendo Switch the following year. This edition will soon be available to owners of PS5, PC and Xbox.

Reverie is from New Zealand developer Rainbite and is a loving homage to classic SNES games from the 1990s. Its story is taken from a Maori legend and has the player control the character Tai, who must work to save Tomori Island from powerful forces. spiritual during a summer vacation.

Its graphic style is very similar to the RPG, Earthbound, but its 2D action gameplay is more similar to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
