Adult Swim has decided to cease any form of collaboration with Justin Roiland, co-creator, producer and voice actor of Rick & Mortyone of the most popular animated series of recent years. Roiland was fired from Warner Bros. Discovery after the heavy charges against him of domestic violence and kidnapping through threats and deception. The week-long season of the show is still in development, but a recasting of the voices of the protagonists will be carried out.

Rick & Morty co-creator fired

Roiland was the voice actor for numerous variations of Rick and over 30 characters within the world of Rick & Morty. If he were to be found guilty he could face up to seven years in prison. In 2020 he had pleaded innocent, but he had to pay bail of $50,000 with the obligation not to be able to get close to the victim. The episode came back to the fore a few days ago and the accusations have become increasingly insistent and pressing. In the meantime, Roiland has also resigned from Squanch Games, a video game company that he founded in 2016: the next hearing that will see him involved will be in April.

Uncertain instead the fate of Solar Opposites And Koala Man, a TV series that Roiland made for Hulu. In Italy the seasons of Rick & Morty are available on Netflix. Here is the synopsis of the show: Rick Sanchez is a genius, probably the smartest in the entire universe, indeed the multi-universe. Precisely for this reason, probably, Rick is also incredibly self-centered while his nephew Morty, his adventure companion chosen by him in spite of him, is, unlike his grandfather, naive and stupid. In each episode, the unlikely duo is faced with extraordinary adventures, between interdimensional or “simply” intergalactic journeys and alternative realities with worlds populated by mutants and clones. There is definitely no limit to the imagination in Rick and Morty!
