Rigoberto Ferrera does it again and compares politicians to pigs

The Cuban comedian Rigoberto Ferrera has once again attacked the double standards of politicians, comparing them to pigs because they eat a lot.

The actor shared on his networks a video taken at his recent presentation at the Café Teatro Bertold Brecht in Havana last Saturday, where the public could freely enjoy his sharp and witty humor.

In his monologue, Rigoberto recreates a hypothetical situation of a man who wants to dedicate himself to raising pigs because, according to him, they are an economic investment, since they barely eat.

“Brother, do you know what you’re saying? When have you seen an inappetent politician? In Italy, uh…”, he replies, after which the audience breaks into applause.

Although he does not mention names, the comedian clearly makes clear reference to the visit of the Cuban ruler Miguel Díaz-Canel and his wife Lis Cuesta to a luxurious restaurant in the center of Rome last week.

Díaz-Canel, who was in the European country hunting for businessmen, was seen when I was leaving Pierluigi, an exclusive place that boasts of serving the best fish in Rome and is usually visited by many celebrities, and which on the Trip Advisor review website qualifies with four signs of money ($$$$), which corresponds to the most expensive restaurants.

Rigoberto Ferrera did not want to miss this shameful fact and included it in his show, which has been sold out for several Saturdays.

This is “Los transformers”, a show in which he shares the stage with another great Cuban humorist: Osvaldo Doimeadiós.

The show of both artists is loaded with double meaning phrases, mocking the government and criticizing the economic crisis that the people suffer.

His clever humor and controversial content brought consequences for both of them.

At the beginning of the month, Rigoberto Ferrera announced that the show he had planned had been suspended because the provincial government left the theater without electricity.

“The government of Havana took the transformer and left us without light,” the artist wrote on his networks.

The excuse given by the authorities was that a community needs that transformer.

“Will we ever have an iota of respect from the ‘competent’ authorities? I think the answer is still what we all know. Is humor important to the national culture or something uncomfortable for the authorities?” he questioned then.

In recent times, Rigoberto has shared messages -not always humorous- in which he criticizes politicians and the poverty that exists in Cuba.

He recently assured his followers about what they should not do again if they want to be in control of their future.

“You have to have a great spiritual poverty, moral scarcity and too much ignorance to give your vote to who is stealing your future“, he said in a video.
