Who cares about quiet luxury when you’re Rihanna?
The Fenty Beauty owner joked about the Internet’s new favorite trend, which favors timeless elegance and a minimalist sense of style over over-the-top opulence and glitz.
In a video posted to her TikTok account yesterday, Rihanna shared a clip of herself stepping out in a pair of black Amina Muaddi strappy heels with jeweled lace-up ties. She adorns one of her toes with a white pedicure and it is seen that there is a huge pear shaped diamond ring set in a sparkling pave band.
She captioned the video as: ‘Silent luxury’
Fans immediately flooded in with comments.
‘I guess I’ll put a ring on my toe ♀️ ??’, wrote one user. Another user expressed a similar sentiment, commenting, “Rihanna wears a toe ring so I went out and bought a toe ring.”
The embellished footwear shown in the video comes from an outfit Rihanna wore in April. At the time, the ‘Love on the Brain’ singer teased her upcoming appearance at the 2023 Met Gala, which honored the legacy of late Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld, by stepping out in New York City wearing a luxurious black and white set.
The look consisted of a shaggy white faux fur minidress by Coperni and a furry black cropped jacket with white trim from Chanel’s Fall 1994 collection. She completed the look with a custom-made faux fur top hat, statement white ‘CC’ logo sunglasses, and pearl and diamond studded circle earrings and rings.
She also shared photos of the outfit on Instagram, captioning the images, “not even Monday.”
