Tried for aggravated violence alongside three of his friends, the father of the family admitted to having wanted to take justice into his own hands after the attack on his 6-year-old daughter.

The Roanne prosecutor requested 18 months in prison, including 6 to 9 months with a probationary suspension of 2 years against a father who had lynched the alleged sexual aggressor of his 6-year-old daughter, a flexible sentence.

At the end of October, her six-year-old daughter had been sexually assaulted in the middle of the night at her home in Roanne. The assailant had entered his house at night. The next evening, Aniss, the child’s father, had then organized a patrol in the neighborhood and had come across the suspect, a 16-year-old boy whom he then lynched with three of his friends. A version denied by the father, who claims to be the only one to have hit the teenager.

“I freaked out”

Prison sentences were also required against two other defendants who allegedly hit the minor according to the prosecutor: 1 year including 6 months suspended and 2 years including one year suspended. The prosecution requested the release of the fourth defendant because the prosecutor was not sure of his involvement.

“I understand your emotion and your anger, but I am also here to say that we cannot accept certain excesses. There, we have rocked”, declared Abdelkrim Grini, the prosecutor of Roanne.

At the helm, the father of the family admitted his wrongs, but admitted to having been overwhelmed by emotion. “I won’t do it again, it’s unacceptable. I know you don’t have to do yourself justice but I let off steam. I freaked out. How do you think in times like these?” he launched.
