Rubén Yzaguirre and Juan José Moreno were accused of robbery, the first facing five charges and the second one, after a series of thefts from various businesses in Brownsville were recorded.

Yzaguirre faces a $282,000 bond for five counts of unauthorized use of vehicle and aggravated robbery. While Moreno’s bail amounts to $82,500 and the charge is unauthorized use of aggravated robbery vehicle, the Brownsville Police reports on its Facebook page.

Both suspects were arrested last Friday, June 9, and the robberies investigated by the authorities involve a person who entered businesses and lifted his shirt to reveal that he was carrying a weapon. So, he asked the cashier to give him the money. Once he achieved his goal, the assailant left the place.

The robberies occurred at Vape City, Stripes, 4 Play Fantasy, Cloud 9 and Family Dollar stores between May 27 and June 9. Images from the stores’ security cameras allowed authorities to identify the suspected suspects.

In addition, they are also charged with the theft of a 2020 Nissan Versa vehicle, which occurred on June 9.
