Baptized Supersex, the Rocco Siffredi biopic, soon available on Netflix, is revealed for the first time in a series of photos. A sulphurous universe which should certainly get people talking when it is released on the streaming platform.
After announcing four new original Italian productions, Netflix confirms its desire to conquer the Big Boot. With its 8.9 million subscribers in Italy, the platform with the red logo is well ahead of Prime Video with 6.3 million subscribers and Disney+ with 3.7 million customers, figures published by the Italian organization of media monitoring (Agcom) and reported by the magazine Variety. Among the upcoming Italian programs, one focuses on the professional and personal journey of Rocco Siffredi, an emblematic figure of European porn, who has more than 1,500 films to his credit in a 40-year career. In Supersex, a biopic series in seven episodes, the former porn star reveals herself even more, seven years after the release of the documentary Rocco. Still on Variety, the series is revealed in two first images, in which we discover the face of the actor responsible for playing the famous Italian porn actor on screen.

Loosely inspired by the life of the world porn star, Supersex is played by the Italian actor Alessandro Borghi (The Eight Mountains). Created by screenwriter and feminist activist Francesca Manieri (Being My Mom), it explores the life of Siffredi, from his childhood to his international recognition in the field of pornographic cinema. After joining the navy, it was at the age of 16 that Rocco met Gabriel Pontello, a famous actor from the 1980s who introduced him to the world of porn. His private life was, she too, addressed in this biopic, in particular her marriage to Rosa Caracciolo, a former Miss Hungary and porn actress, who gave her two sons, Lorenzo and Leonardo.
The porn star’s inner demons
The director, Francesca Manieri, spoke about this mini-series: “Supersex is the story of someone who takes seven episodes to say ‘i love you’, to coexist with his inner demons and the love he feels within himself. According to Manieri’s statements, it seems that the series will focus more on the human dimension than on the on-screen exploits of the most emblematic figure of adult cinema. Although the first images are now available, no release date has yet been announced by Netflix. You will therefore have to be patient to see the result on the screen!
