She was a dream woman, a congenial life and acting partner, a loving mother and grandmother.

Now acting legend Nadja Tiller died in the night from Monday to Tuesday at the age of 93. BILD announced the news exclusively online on Tuesday.

Her daughter Natascha Giller (64, lives in Greece) to BILD: “My mother fell asleep peacefully in the presence of a nurse. He called me at six o’clock yesterday morning, informed me. My mother wasn’t alone, we as a family are very grateful for that.” Tiller had lived in Hamburg in the “Augustinum” retirement home since 2004.

The role of the vamp was Nadja Tiller’s breakthrough

She once became famous as a seductress. In 1949 Tiller was elected the first Miss Austria. At the time, she was just finishing her acting studies in Vienna and started working in film. In 1958, Tiller made his international breakthrough as the luxury call girl Nitribitt in “The Girl Rosemarie”. She was considered one of the most erotic women in European film, starred in more than 120 films and series.

At that time, Tiller had moved into the senior residence with her husband, cult actor Walter Giller († 84). Tiller and Giller – not only the names fit.

The two were married for 55 years, had two children, filmed together and were considered a model couple for decades. “It wasn’t always easy,” he said Nadia Tiller 2004 in an interview. “But somehow we succeeded.”

Walter Giller died of lung cancer in 2011. Since then, son Jan-Claudius (58) and daughter Natascha have been by Nadja Tiller’s side. Natascha Giller: “My mother was always there for us and it was the other way around. I was visiting her last week.”

Tiller’s body is to be cremated and her ashes found eternal rest in a burial at sea. Daughter Natascha: “That was our mother’s wish. Just as my father had wished (Editor’s note: Walter Giller’s urn was sunk in the North Sea in 2012). But it may take a few months before that happens.”

In the sea, the eternal dream couple Giller and Tiller will be united forever.
