WRITING.- The chain of pizzas Domino’s tested its first delivery in a jetpack (propeller backpack) to the attendees of the Glastonbury Festival, which took place from June 21 to 25 in the United Kingdom, prior to the presentation of the legendary Elton John.
According to the pizzeria, the company was inspired by the song “Rocket Man (“Rocket Man”) original by Elton John, one of the great guests headlining the poster of the prestigious festival in its recent 2023 edition.
“When we realized that serving portions inside the festival was impossible, we were inspired by Elton John’s year to launch our own quick delivery test – it was a no-brainer,” said deputy director of public relations Sam Wilson.
Wilson later added that during the annual festival, Domino’s receives a large number of calls from hungry attendees asking if they can sneak food onto the festival grounds.
“So this year we wanted to take a giant step forward and try out our own rocket man service to help hungry campers get a piece of their fill,” Wilson continued.
