MEXICO CITY (proceso.com.mx).- Mexican tennis player Rodrigo Pacheco was crowned champion at Roland Garros in the junior doubles category. The Yucatecan teamed up with the Russian Yaroslav Denim and they won 6-2 and 6-3 against the Italians Lorenzo Sciahbasi and Gabriele Vulpitta.

The duo made up of Pacheco and Denim achieved victory in 59 minutes of play, they did not miss out on break points and made five of 12 break points.

The serve was also a fundamental part of this team, as they completed 68% of winning points, they only had five unforced errors, while their opponents finished with 20.

Rodrigo Pacheco, 18 years old, was born in Yucatan. On May 30, he climbed positions in the youth ranking of the International Tennis Federation (IFT) and became the world number. Regarding the ranking of the Association of Professional Tennis Players (ATP), he occupies the 890th step.
