The Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers, Agustín Rossi, went to the National Senate and presented his management report. Among the most prominent issues, Rossi stressed that “If the judicial party is not disarmed, it is impossible to govern”in clear allusion to the ruling of the Supreme Court that suspended the elections in San Juan and Tucumán.

“The judicial party persecutes political leaders in Argentina”he said, and warned that at some point this power must be disarmed because otherwise it is impossible to govern.

“In Argentina there is a suprapower or parallel power that does not have democratic legitimacy but it conditions the democratic life of Argentines,” Rossi declared.

The official claimed that “the judicial party gets into the autonomy of the provinces”alluding to the resolutions of the highest court that suspended the elections for Governor and vice president in Tucumán and San Juan.

“At some point, I don’t think it’s going to be long, whoever our candidates are will have to understand that they not only have to win elections but we have to disarm this power,” he said.

In a half-hour presentation before a venue where half of the senators were not present, Rossi defined what he called the “judicial party” as “a series of prosecutors and judges who have co-opted a large part of the functioning of the Judiciary and they act as a party. They do not dispense justice, they are not imbued with rights, but pursue other objectives.”

“The members of the Court are part of that judicial party without any doubt”highlighted the chief of staff.
