The head of government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaumaccused this Friday that the opposition, led by the National Action party, is carrying out a campaign against him after leaflets against him were found in an office of the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s officewhich is governed by the panista Sandra Cuevas.
“There is a lot of propaganda against the head of government in a public office, it is evidence of a dirty war that we have been saying exists, it is not from a mayor, it is from the opposition, from conservatism, particularly from the PAN”said Sheinbaum during a tour of a work in the limits of the Venustiano Carranza and Gustavo A. Madero mayor’s offices.
The head of government assured that she is a victim of this campaign against her because Brunette leads the polls of electoral preferences in Mexico City and the country.
“What it shows is that the PAN destroys, it does not build, my question is why is there a dirty war against the head of government? Because they are worried because they lose the city, and because we are leading the polls in the city and the country, that is their way of doing politics.” stated the president.
Sheinbaum assured that he has no personal issue against Mayor Sandra Cuevas and that he will not enter into controversy with her for the discovery of the propaganda that, he said, he had already been notified that it had been distributed in other city halls.

“It is not a matter with the mayoress (Cuevas), I think you have to see the facts, I say that it is an orchestrated campaign to damage a project and it is the opposition, the PAN, more than anything. I will not enter into a debate with her, what I point out is that there is a dirty war. There is a lot of propaganda on the desks in a public office”said.
Claudia Sheinbaum said that we must wait for the Secretary of the Comptroller General of Mexico City, which will determine if there are administrative offenses and the corresponding sanctions.
He also said that it will be the Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office that determines if any crime was committed.
“There is a campaign against us, evident, clear, notorious and now it is in the public offices of a mayor’s office that is in the opposition, it is not a matter against that person (Sandra Cuevas), regardless of what she says, it is a political and legal matter, it is not a minor matter”said the president.
