After an attack with a beer bottle on a 27-year-old in the Bornstedt district of Potsdam, the police arrested the 25-year-old suspect. As the police department west announced, he was questioned on Thursday in the police station. He then remained in police custody. The suspect was due to appear in court on Friday. There, a judge should decide whether the 25-year-old should be remanded in custody.

The man rang the bell at the 27-year-old’s apartment door early Wednesday evening. After the resident opened the door, he hit him in the head with a beer bottle. The two men then got into a fight. The 25-year-old tried several times to hit the older man with the remains of the bottle. The 27-year-old fended off the attacks. The attacker finally fled, but was caught by the police the next day. Officers are investigating grievous bodily harm.
