Rumors about a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 have been rampant for a few years now, and they say there’s no smoke without fire. Earlier this year it was reported that it was aiming to release it sometime in 2024 and if the latest rumors have any substance then that could very well turn out to be true.

XboxEra co-founder Nick Baker recently said in the XboxEra podcast that Metal Gear Solid 3: Remake may be announced at the Playstation showcase and that it will then also be exclusive to the Playstation 5. What blocks this further is that journalist Jez Corden at Windows Central says the same thing and he also adds that Sony has signed deals with Konami for Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania and Silent Hill.

The Playstation Showcase is rumored to take place later in May, so there’s definitely a chance we’ll actually get an announcement then. However, Sony has not yet confirmed a date, so of course we await this.
