Sony not only has a number of its own first-party studios that work with exclusive software for Playstation (and to some extent PC), but they also regularly enter into agreements with external studios, so-called second-party agreements. One of those deals was with Final Strike Games, the studio behind Rocket Arena.

However, it seems that this collaboration fell apart and the game is no longer in development. Insider Timur222 has confirmed via Twitter, after speaking with now-fired developers, that the project has been shut down and that the studio has laid off 40% of its staff.

It was supposed to be a sci-fi shooter for PC and PS5, and was reportedly one of the many live service projects that Sony plans to launch in the coming years.
