For the central trio, the “Harry Potter” films were not just a job, but the main part of their childhood. It’s nice to look back on, isn’t it? Well, there’s at least one thing Rupert Grint would have liked to have done differently in hindsight.
But all three have fond memories of their time at Hogwarts, like they did last in a reunion special announced. However, on a talk show with Dax Shepard, Rupert Grint admitted that there is actually one thing he regrets, whenever he is reminded of it. It’s about the fourth part of the series, “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” – and about his hairstyle in the blockbuster.

“The Goblet of Fire” or: Harry Potter and the Long Hair
The fourth Potter film is known among fans as the one in which almost all male actors have the same haircut: shoulder-length. There are many gags and memes on the internet about Harry, Ron, Ron’s brothers and many other male characters having a Grunge hairstyle à la Kurt Cobain wear that is otherwise not found in any of the films. Grint is a bit uncomfortable today though. He revealed: “My hair in movie four is one of my biggest regrets. I think everyone went through a phase where they had really long hair. They liked it – it was kind of magical. We went through our adolescence in front of the camera. Man kinda sees it all. It’s very scary.”
Funnily enough, he’s not the only one with these regrets. When Emma Watson did a photo shoot for Vogue Italia, she also admitted that she doesn’t always look back fondly on her hair in the movies. “When I see the pictures of the first Harry Potter, I immediately think of how ugly my hair was,” said the actress.
