Moscow. Russia considered that the leak of classified US documents on the conflict in Ukraine could be part of a disinformation campaign by Washington aimed at “misleading” Russia.
“We have no position” on the matter, indicated the Russian deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Riabkov, quoted by the Russian press agencies.
“Perhaps it is a ‘fake’, deliberate toxic information,” he said.
“Since the United States is a party to the conflict (in Ukraine) and is actually conducting a hybrid war against us, such methods are possible to deceive the enemy, that is, the Russian Federation,” he claimed.
Late last week, classified US documents were posted online, a leak that the Pentagon says poses a “very serious risk” to US national security.

Last night, The Washington Post reported that the person who leaked the confidential documents is a “young gun enthusiast.”
