Moscow, Aug 10 (EFE).- The anti-aircraft defense shot down today two Ukrainian drones that were heading to Moscow, reported the mayor of the Russian capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
“Around 4 in the morning, the anti-aircraft defense shot down two attack drones that were flying in the direction of the city,” Sobyanin wrote on his Telegram channel.
He added that one of the planes was shot down in the Kaluga region, south of the capital, and the other near the ring road that is about 50 kilometers from Moscow.
Drone attacks against the Russian capital have occurred with some regularity in recent weeks.
“The war is gradually returning to the territory of Russia, to its symbolic centers and military bases, and this is an inevitable, natural and absolutely fair process,” Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky warned on July 30.
