The scene: Saarbrücken
Saarbrücken is the state capital of Saarland and, in addition to nature and culture, also offers urban areas that are popular with young people.
The location for the commissariat of the Saarbrücken crime scene is in the city’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
Chief Inspector Adam Schurk
► The role: In his childhood, Commissioner Schürk experienced a lot of violence and misfortune at the hands of his father. His friend and colleague Leo Holz was able to help him escape from these circumstances.
Despite his traumatic childhood, Schürk is an open person who doesn’t shy away from interpersonal relationships.
► The actor: Daniel Sträßer quickly became aware of his professional career: he was already on stage as a schoolboy. After graduating, he studied acting in Salzburg. Since then he has had a number of roles in plays and film productions. In 2020 he was seen for the first time in Tatort in the role of Adam Schürk.
Chief Inspector Leo Holz
► The role: Leo Holz is also struggling with some psychological problems. In order to protect his friend and current colleague Adam Schürk from a violent relationship, he hit his father at the time. This act still burdens Holzer and his relationship with Schürk.
Leo Bäume is repeatedly caught up in his own past. He has to learn to deal with it and listen to his heart.
► The actor: Vladimir Burlakov was born in Russia and moved to Germany with his mother, grandmother and twin sister at the age of nine. As a young adult he studied acting in Munich. He made his acting debut in a crime series while still a student and has appeared in numerous film and television productions ever since. Burlakov lives with his partner in Berlin.
Chief Inspector Esther Baumann
► The role: Inspector Baumann has only recently played a role in the Saarbrücken crime scene. She investigates very seriously and conscientiously. This sometimes causes disputes within the team. The different characters need time to understand each other.
Esther Bauman does her work with great seriousness and very conscientiously. Her cases do not leave her indifferent. But you don’t always notice that because it’s often dry and short.
► The actress: The role of chief inspector Esther Baumann is embodied by the Luxembourgish actress Brigitte Urhausen. She is mainly active at various theaters and plays in a number of Luxembourg productions. Since 2021 she can be seen in the Saarbrücken crime scene. Urhausen lives with her husband and two children in a small village in Rhineland-Palatinate.
Chief Inspector Pia Heinrich
► The role: Pia Heinrich is probably the most affable colleague of the crime scene team from Saarbrücken. She throws herself into the investigation with body and soul and hardly has time to settle down. Nevertheless, she is a team player and occasionally mediates between her colleagues when conflicts arise and ensures that things continue despite disagreements.
► The actress: Ines Marie Westernströer has had individual appearances in the role of chief inspector Pia Heinrich at Tatort Saarbrücken since 2019. She has been an integral part of the Tatort team since 2022.
